LJC
Hoi!

ProofreadPage
Hey Dick!
Re: your comment on my talkpage about getting started using the ProofreadPage extension, I will be honest with you: I have absolutely no idea how it works. I only know how to use it, once it's configured. I was surprised that In de sneeuw has turned into an error message. I recall that when I created it, it worked perfectly fine.
As for 'fixing' the problem, I would start by going to Old Wikisource and read their explanation of the PRP, and the linked pages. If you have any concrete questions afterward, post them on the talkpage there. I haven't posted questions there for a long time, but when I did in the past, they got answered quite quickly. Since your issue primarily is 'how do I get it to work?' (rather than something more complex), there should be someone who would be able to explain it to you. (Though, I, alas, am not one of them.) I wish you all the best with getting started with the PRP! Do get back to me, if you have any questions about the proofreading itself, I'd be more than happy to help with any issues you have regarding that, even if I don't have the technical know-how to get the PRP extension working. - Hello! I used Google translate for the comments you left on the discussion page of chapter four of In de sneeuw. I have some solutions for you:
- With regards to the author link, the reason it's not working is in Sjabloon:Koptekst. The template doesn't generate a link to the Auteur-NS, it generates a link to the main NS. (From what I have seen elsewhere on :nl:ws, this isn't a problem, since authors' names are redirects to their Auteur page. However, when such redirects haven't been made, it creates a problem. The solution to this is simple: In the template replace the following part of code [[{{{Schrijver|}}}|{{{Schrijver|Onbekend}}}]] with [[Auteur:{{{Schrijver|}}}|{{{Schrijver|Onbekend}}}]]. This way, the information provided for "Schrijver" will link to the Auteur-NS rather than the main NS.
- As for the page numbering. This can be tweaked on the book's index page. In the field marked "pages", you will find the command <pagelist /> which you can use to 'edit' the pagenumbers. For this particular text, I would propose the following string (translate the English into appropriate Dutch): <pagelist 1=cover 2=printer 3=1 />. The number on the left refers to the page number in the .djvu file, whereas the text on the right refers to what you want it to be. Since page 3 in the -djvu file is the book's page no. 1, you end up with the string 3=1. (The software will take care of the rest, i.e. labelling 4=2, 5=3, 6=4 etc.) When transcluded, the page links will be shown correctly.
- You can also label the spans of pages with roman numerals, using the following strings: 1to14=roman which will show those pages as 'i-xiv', or 1to14=highroman which will show them as 'I-XIV'. Again, if you override the page numbers and combine it with roman numerals 1=5 1to14=roman will show pages 1 through 14 as 'x-xix'.
- As for references on the bottom of the page... That is a stylistic question, and something I will leave to the capable editors of :nl:ws to decide. :-) V85 (overleg) 25 jun 2012 19:00 (CEST)
